Los Angeles

I’m going to this worldcan’twait.org in downtown Los Angeles, should be good I guess, gonna check it out. Later that day I might meet up with Tecpaocelotl for his Indigenous Alliance Dia De Los Muertos festival, I know the festivals for Dia De Los Muertos are hundreds of times better than around the Fresno area so it should be good.

Finally finished building www.consafos.org I built it a long time ago but at first it was just a one or two page website, just the front page and the forums. But I added a front content manager system, to add news and whatnot. The gallery is much better and all works under one database so people will just have to register once and have access to everything. I posted it on myspace and called for mods if anyone is interested? I only have one other administrator, Quimichipilli who is helping me out on the site’s content. I am now working on a ‘history’ section of the website, typing up articles from chicano newspapers back in the day, and other letters, like letters from Reies Tijernia, Jose Angel Gutierrez, Corky, Ramsey Muniz, Alurista, etc.

The history section is not meant to be a complete site on the history of chicanos, just some interested-hard to find articles that I want to share with everyone. A better Chicano History website is: http://www.geocities.com/chicanohistory People push it off aside because it’s hosted on geocities, and more importantly the internet. It’s hard to take things for face value if its not on a respected website like wikipedia or britannica, etc. But honestly, it’s a good website. Another one is www.mexica-movement.org , a bit extreme in some things but it is the truth. I don’t agree with everything the organization does and says, but isn’t that how it is with everything? Even your own family? You love your own family and whatnot but don’t agree with everything that your brother or sister says. I apply the same kind of thought to such groups and organizatons as long as they aren’t doing something so blatantly evil.

I haven’t read anything in a long time……I need to finish some of the books I bought. Soon, I will be talking about Cesar Chavez of the UFW. Been thinking alot and researching alot on him and his actions that put his credibility into question.
